However inspiring it may be at the moment to watch women bicyclists on the streets (the weather seems to cause an extreem degree of underdressing) I complete fail to understand why they are allowed out there at all…
First of all it seems that women suffer from a strange fear of parked cars. They would rather drive in the middle of the streets - with the risk of being hit from behind by cars actually moving - than drive a little closer to parked, static, non-moving cars. Riding two by two in the middle of the traffic seems to give them an increased feeling of safety…

Every month the papers tell stories of bicyclists being hit by right-turning trucks. Most of these bicyclists are women. Most of the truck drivers are men. So does this mean that men are bad truck drivers or that women are bad cyclists..?
